Monte d'Accoddi is a big construction that looks like a huge altar. This monument has been built with big stones, and has a pyramid shape; its walls ( both the internal and the external ones) were paint of red. It was dedicated to the Mother goddess. Near it there were the ruins of a small village of huts, two menhirs, a big stones maybe dedicated to the sun and a little altar sacrificial . Inside the archaeologists have found a lot of objects now kept in the Museum of Sassari. This building remembers the ancient temples of Mesopothamia called Ziqqurat.
